SOUK-SCAN ("the app") is a community food-price transparency app for Morocco. This page explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and what's never made public.

What we collect

• Account info — your email address, used to sign you in (via email/password or Google sign-in).
• Price submissions — the product, price, region, and date you report. Limited to one submission per product per day.
• Region — either chosen manually, or detected from your device's location if you grant permission. We never store or share your exact GPS coordinates — only the region it maps to.
• Feedback — anything you choose to send us through the app's feedback form (a category and a message).

What's never made public

• Your identity is never shown alongside any price you submit.
• Your exact location is never collected for public display — only a region.
• Individual price submissions are never exposed publicly — only aggregated, regional estimates (a typical price range) computed from everyone's reports together.
• Feedback you send is private — it goes only to the people maintaining SOUK-SCAN, never shown to other users.

How we use your data

Your email identifies your account so you can sign in and correct a submission you made earlier the same day. Your price reports are combined with everyone else's to produce the public price estimates shown in the app. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising — SOUK-SCAN doesn't run ads.

Where your data lives

Account and submission data is stored with Supabase (a database and authentication provider). Signing in with Google uses Google's own sign-in service; SOUK-SCAN never sees or stores your Google password.

Your choices

• Location access is optional — you can always pick your region manually instead.
• You can change your password, or sign out, at any time from the app's Profile screen.
• You can delete your account and data yourself from the app (Profile → Delete account), or request deletion by email — we complete valid email requests within 30 calendar days of receiving them. See how to delete your account.
